hanging out with friends and bugs.  what better way to spend the day?

fall is in the air

and we are in full swing for the year!

Weekly park days have begun again and our monthly field trips have thus far included the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Fullerton Arboretum “Bug Safari”.  We were also able to package relief kits for the IOCC.

We are happy to welcome a few new families into our group this year and look forward to growing together in the year to come.  One of the reasons why we started our group was the lack of an Orthodox Home School group in our area.  We hope that others might be encouraged to do a similar thing where they are!  Please contact us if you are interested in or have questions about St. Theophan Academy.

With the year wrapping up, we are taking a break from formal meeting days.  We’ll be hanging out around the pool, however, for group swimming lessons taught by a young mama from our parish.  Lots of exploring, reading, playing and enjoying the sun is sure to fill our days.

Fall will come soon!  Lord willing, we will resume our weekly park days and monthly field trips come September, venturing out to begin our second formal year together.

Blessed summer!

Fall 2009

St. Theophan Academy home school group has been meeting twice a month for parkday.  In addition to fun play, we have done mercy/service activities  as well as liturgical activity days where we learned about St. Euphrosynos and St. Thomas.

We’re looking forward to the rest of the Fall!

St. Theophan Academy is a homeschool group of Orthodox Christian families of various homeschool philosophies in the Orange County area.  We meet for park days, enrichment activities, fieldtrips, and liturgical activities.
